If you don't know where to go- start right here.
It's easy to get overwhelmed by all the information out there, especially if it's often conflicting when so much. I can give you 100s of tips but here are 10 that I find extremely relevant.
I've been looking for about 12 years now at this whole fitness thing and I'm always learning every day. No one does have all the answers. If you're new to this, remember we ALL were in your shoes before. Nobody hates you (and if they do, fuck them!) and people are far more likely than you think to support. When you don't know how to do an exercise, I bet someone's ready to teach you.
One thing I wish I had done differently early on is to take progress photos. I always felt so petty taking photos of myself, so I would never do it. And then after a few years, I thought “well now it’s too late because I’ve already made so much progress”. If only I had taken photos along the way, it would be the perfect reminder on just how far I have come. Don’t be embarrassed to log your progress!
The last item on this list is SO important. I want you to take a moment to let it sink in.
Don't let your fitness travel distract you from what really matters in your life. Yes, It's important to live a healthy life. But if you're flipping out about skipping the gym to go on your life's greatest break, you're taking it too far. Or if out of fear of not being able to control your food, you can not enjoy a family reunion, you are taking it too far.
