You probably think you need to go to your nearest gym to use the pull-up bar and cable machines to get a really strong back. But you might not know that without any supplies, you can give your back a tough workout at all.

Try this 10-minute workout that you can do anywhere using only your body weight as resistance. Perform each 50-second exercise on the list, with a 10-second break between each.


If planning a back workout, you are probably considering the various weights and equipment you would need to get the job done. Most back staples will allow you to push around some serious poundage from lat pulldowns to dumbbell rows — so it's no surprise if you think you'll have to visit a fully stocked gym to get the elusive rear boost.

This need not always be the case. You can also bring your back into work without touching a single dumbbell, barbell, or kettlebell — your body weight is everything you need. For some of the movements, some equipment such as suspension training straps and pullup bars are theoretically required, but the only resistance you will be operating against comes from you alone.
