I consider fitness more important than ever with everything going on right now, and it has nothing to do with burning calories.

Maybe now isn't the ideal time to try and lose weight or make enormous strides in strength, but that doesn't mean exercise should be skipped entirely. If we put aside the obvious benefits of calorie burning or muscle building, there's so much more that exercise does for us.
The biggest benefits of exercise to me personally are decreased stress and relief from anxiety. Exercising has more improved my anxiety than I've ever been able to say, and I make sure I still emphasize it in my day. Even if I don't have a structured workout, I'm always trying to ensure that I get quality steps in and keep moving! Cry to my dog to help me get those long walks in every day.
I note the effect on my energy levels VERY soon if I don't exercise. When I don't get into any form of physical activity like exercising on my off-days from work out, I find my energy levels are completely drained. It seems like if you don't exercise you will have more strength but you will consider the exact opposite to be true.
Also, it's crucial to bear in mind the positive effect exercise can have on your entire life. Exercising will greatly benefit your overall health and thank you for that will be your heart, lungs , bones, etc. But it will also improve your practical independence-in other words, chasing your kids around, running around the house and enjoying your holidays more would be much easier. All things for which you would be grateful.
You don't have to do weightlifting for an hour to go. Walking the dog, cycling, yoga- they're all perfect types of exercise that can bring amazing benefits to you. Credit: Cheatdaydesign
