Bad Joints or Stiffness? Must Try these Workout Plans to Relieve the Pain

Injuries and fundamental health problems such as arthritis can cause some serious joint pain and aches. The last thing you'll want to do when you experience these sharp pains in your joints is hit the gym and exercise. Although due to the aches you do not feel like going to the gym, working out will help to minimize your joint pain and improve your strength and endurance to reduce the risk of future ailments.

The more you move, the less suffering you will experience. Indeed, if you're not exercising, the discomfort will most likely increase ... no one wants it!

My Friends Mother is suffering from arthritis, and I saw first-hand how her workout helped reduce her pain and get stronger in the process. Try those workouts if you have joint pain:

Cardio Low Impact

You want to stop high impact aerobic workouts such as running on rough surfaces while the knees are hurting. Instead, choose cardio with low impacts, such as bicycle riding and swimming. Even a simple walk can boost your strength and help the aches. If you have exercise equipment, try certain types of aerobic exercises like the rower machine, the elliptical, or the Stairmaster.

Resistance Bands Combo Workouts

The resistance bands are generally used in human physical therapy. However, bands provide tension which can be used to improve all muscle groups by isometric and isotonic reinforcement. Isometric workouts, including banded squats, allow the muscles to contract slowly while the joint is held in one place. These types of exercises gently reinforce the muscles around the joints, as the joints have no movement. When you do isotonic exercises the band is gently extended across the motion spectrum of the joint.

Energy or Strength Training

This may sound challenging, but strength training can really help unload pains and aches from your joint. When you train for strength, your muscles are essentially growing and becoming stronger. As a result, the pressure that is put on your joints is unloaded. Make sure your workouts are changed and target key muscle groups. Pro tip: Be sure to stretch after your strength training workouts! Your muscles are warm, and you'll increase your flexibility and mobility when you stretch afterward.
