A study published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning study found that stretching before going for a run made a runner 's body less effective because they didn't do as well and couldn't go as far as that. Consider warming up with a walk and running-specific exercises instead of stretching, to strengthen the joints before running. People should then make sure your post-run routine has to include stretches.

Indeed, a study conducted by Fitbit defined unflattering Facebook images as the Brits' latest number one weight loss cause. 6. Morning Exercise Could Make You Sick

8. Married couples do far less exercise

While marriage brings many health benefits, research suggests that singletons are much more likely to follow a regular exercise routine than married persons. The Health Department commissioned poll found that only 27% of the adults surveyed met the required 150 minutes of physical activity per week and that 76% of the men and 63% of the women were married. It is because married couples "let go" as they become more familiar with each other, the researcher proposed.

9. 60 % of Gym Memberships go wasted

Although joining a gym is one of the most popular New Year's resolutions, research shows that 60 percent of gym memberships go unused as gym attendance appears to return to normal by mid-February. Instead of wasting money on unused memberships, new exercisers can take advantage of free or cheap exercise opportunities by heading out for a run or hike, trying free taster class sessions, or signing up for pay-per-class fitness classes.
