9 Terrible Fitness Facts of Workout Explained That You Never Know

How much of an exercise do you know? You could be surprised. Whether you're a gym bunny or a new bodybuilder, we've put together some facts you may not know about the exercise. Here are 10 surprising facts about health.

1. Your membership in the Gym will not counteract the hours spent sitting

Do you Believe your fitness class or gym session makes up for the fact that you're sitting all day at a desk? Talk it over again. Sitting for long periods of time, according to a number of research studies, puts you at risk of dangerous illnesses such as heart disease and diabetes, even if you are otherwise physically active. While you could spend an hour each day at the gym or playing sports, think about what you're doing for the other 23 hours. It's important to make an effort to move more often in whatever way you can during the day; even the smallest regularly performed movements will make a difference for your wellbeing.

2. Exercise Won't Thin You

Numerous people use exercise as their sole weight control method, however, researches have shown that exercise does very little in terms of weight loss when not combined with dietary changes. Research published in The British Journal of Sports Medicine showed that the majority did not experience any substantial weight loss effects when a group of obese people completed 12 weeks of controlled aerobic workouts without dieting. It is important to remember, however, that while it may not in itself result in weight loss, exercise still has many other health benefits.

3. Getting Active allows you to attain your objectives

Getting interested in exercise would not only benefit your body and health, but it will also help you accomplish other goals in your life. A study of people training for a New York marathon found that regular exercise improves goal-setting, organization, and discipline for people-both at work and in other areas of life. Research in the Archives of Internal Medicine found that smokers who were running were twice as likely to quit and stay free of cigarettes as those who did not exercise.

4. Stretching can Lower your Stamina before running

Before exercise, many of us have been trained to warm up, but new research shows that stretching before a run may not be helpful to your workout. A study published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning study found that stretching before going for a run made a runner 's body less effective because they didn't do as well and couldn't go as far as that. Consider warming up with a walk and running-specific exercises instead of stretching, to strengthen the joints before running. People should then make sure your post-run routine has to include stretches.

5. Facebook Will Inspire Your Fitness

Those who may not have thought that searching Facebook could help with your goals for exercise, yet research suggests that signing up to the site could significantly boost your motivation for fitness. First of all, the persistent lurking danger of being tagged on an unflattering picture means that social networking platforms have become for many of us a massive weight loss cause. Indeed, a study conducted by Fitbit defined unflattering Facebook images as the Brits' latest number one weight loss cause. More research from Fitbit has also revealed that 64 percent of those surveyed felt motivated to work out as a result of their friends' fitness boasts on Facebook.

6. Morning Exercise Could Make You Sick

While daily exercise is great for your health, research suggests that night owls may have an advantage over early-bird exercisers. A study by a researcher from Brunel University, Middlesex, found that heavy training sessions early in the morning compromised the immune system and put athletes at increased risk of infection from bacteria and viruses. While a morning jog or gentle exercise session is unlikely to put you at great risk - and may in fact be a great way to start the day - it may be best to save heavier workouts for later in the day.

7. Women and men respond in different ways to workout

Exercising is a great activity to engage as a couple, although it may not be a great idea for women to try the exact same workout routine as their partner. A new study by scientists at the University of Missouri suggests that women and men respond in different ways to exercise and diet and that women need to do a lot more exercise and pay more attention to their diet in order to get the same results as men. Though exercising with your partner is a great way to stay motivated, consider tailoring your workout to achieve your ideal results.

8. Married couples do far less exercise

While marriage brings many health benefits, research suggests that singletons are much more likely to follow a regular exercise routine than married persons. The Health Department commissioned poll found that only 27% of the adults surveyed met the required 150 minutes of physical activity per week and that 76% of the men and 63% of the women were married. It is because married couples "let go" as they become more familiar with each other, the researcher proposed.

9. 60 % of Gym Memberships go wasted

Although joining a gym is one of the most popular New Year's resolutions, research shows that 60 percent of gym memberships go unused as gym attendance appears to return to normal by mid-February. Instead of wasting money on unused memberships, new exercisers can take advantage of free or cheap exercise opportunities by heading out for a run or hike, trying free taster class sessions, or signing up for pay-per-class fitness classes.
